Emergency

  1. Emergency 911

    Upson County E911 began operations in August of 1995 as a basic 911 system. The system was enhanced in 1997 to identify a caller’s name, address, telephone number and Emergency Service Number.

  2. Emergency Management

    The Emergency Management Agency is the coordinating entity for emergency planning and preparedness activities for Thomaston and Upson County.

  3. Emergency Medical Services

    In January 2022, the Director of the Division of Health Protection at the Georgia Department of Public Health awarded the Upson County Emergency Response Zone to Upson County EMS.  Upson County EMS currently partners with AmeriPro EMS to provide reliable and efficient emergency medical services to the residents of Upson County.  

  4. Fire - Volunteer
      Upson County is currently serviced by six volunteer fire departments. These departments are equipped with 1 Pumper truck and 1 Tanker        truck.
  5. Rescue

    The Upson County Rescue Unit primarily serves the Upson County area, but often responds to surrounding counties for mutual aid calls.
