The office of Public Buildings was created in 1999
when the County offices were relocated to their current location at
the Upson County Government Complex.
The Government Complex is located on the former R. E. Lee
High School campus. The
office of Public Buildings is responsible for the maintenance and
upkeep of all County owned buildings and grounds.
The buildings covered by this office are the courthouse,
government complex, annex, archives, library, health department,
counseling center, emergency management, indigent defense, animal
shelter, roads department, civic center, and task force.
This office is also responsible for keeping the County
playgrounds and meeting areas clean and ready for use.
Inmate labor and community service workers are utilized in
carrying out the duties of this office when needed.
It is the goal of the office of Public Buildings to keep the
County buildings and grounds looking good to reflect the pride which
we have in our County.
