The Thomaston- Upson Senior Center is located in the former R.E. Lee Military building and Dining Hall. This building is also known as, Memorial Hall. It was dedicated in the memory of the teacher and four students that perished in the Winecoff Hotel fire in 1946. The plaques honoring; Mrs. Mary Minor, Earlyne Adams, Patsy Uphold, Virginia Torbert, and Christy Hinson are displayed in the building.

 Currently the building is used by the senior citizens of Upson County. Activities that are available at the center include: Billiards, Arts& Crafts, Exercise Classes, Bingo, and Bridge. The center also has an exercise room where seniors can come in and utilize up to date equipment at their leisure. There is also a meal program that is available as well.

The center is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

 The center is also available for rentals to be used for parties, reunions, receptions, weddings and other functions.
